Poor Cooper
At Arlington Park this morning I watched Buddy the laid back Greyhound as he walked with what seemed to be a piece of thick string in his jaws. Buddy's owner removed it and threw it to the ground.
I was a distance away when I saw Cooper chomp the string down. I couldn't stop him.
I told Buddy's owner that Cooper had eaten the string. "Oh no" he said "that was the intestine of an eviscerated animal"
That being the case I wondered why he had not thrown it into a bin,
I knew what might happen.
It did.
Early this afternoon dear Cooper threw up twice (indoors). I found traces of the intestine in his vomit. Poor boy.
A bit later in the day I gave Cooper his usual early evening Kibble. It seems to be settling.
He is a treasure!
