An Old Dog Makes a Young Friend

 



Cooper on the left.  Gusty on the right.

Gusty is fifteen years old and weary, He belongs to my friend Fred and his wife Diana.  They are in post hurricane digs in Bradenton; their Longboat Key home having been damaged by the Hurricanes. 

I visited them this afternoon.

What fun. To our delight ancient Gusty and youthful Cooper had a ball.  They wrestled and played indoors for more than half an hour. Fred and Diana could hardly believe their eyes.

I was proud of my dearest C as he minded his manners.  He knew that Gusty was in charge.

Not the best of days HELP! A mistake and a fall.

  I arrived in time for my 8:50 appointment with my Dermatologist.   The Receptionist told me that I did not have an appointment.  She checked the records and told me that my appointment is for Tuesday. I knew that.  Then the light dawned.  Up until that moment I had thought that it was Tuesday, not Monday. You'd think that calendars had not been invented! It got worse. I took Cooper for an early pee walk this afternoon.  He lifted his leg to cue. Then he took a strong and mad dash towards a Squirrel.  I fell down.  And great was my fall. Lots of scrapes.  No bones broken. Pictures not in order. Excuse duplicates. No sympathy please - I was foolish. Fortunately, I had an arm bandage to sop up the blood. It looks worse than it is.
