Somerset UK Great Cheese and other matters

The English County of Somerset  (never Somersetshire) is to the west and south of my home City of Bristol.  Somerset has lovely rolling hills, and great beaches

It's a mainly agricultural County.  It is the home of the eponymous Cheddar Cheese; and the Gorge.

                                                              Somerset Red Cheese

There has been a great revival of local artisanal cheeses throughout the U.K.    I was lucky enough to find one such cheese "Somerset Red"  'Tis good.

I once worked in Somerset in the lovely village of Chew Magna. I was placed at the Westminster, (now National Westminster) Bank.

When it was the Westminster Bank

On the whole I like Somerset Cheeses more than Somerset Banks.

Of course Somerset is also famous for the Glastonbury Tor (and the Festival)
