Levi and Other Friends at Bayfront Park: "Villagers Walk and Connections" this morning.

 Connection 1



He is Levi.  It's not the best photo'   Taken early today at Bayfront Park.  

Levi is filled with energy.  His owner Chris (f) used to keep their distance from Zion and me.   I encouraged her to let them meet. They did well.

Now when Levi sees me, he lets out a Husky style howl and rushes over to greet me.  He is a no-nonsense dog who allows me ten seconds to tickle his ears; then moves on.

 Connection 2

Kathy and her miniature poodle Milo.  Kathy is a walking acquaintance; the person I met last Sunday as we entered side by side to the Sarasota Orchestra concert.  Milo is squeaky. Kathy is a retired Pediatrician from Wisconsin.  She is all round good news.

Connection 3.  

Susan B and her miniature Schnauzer Max.  Susan is a big wig for Sarasota's Choral Artists.  I had not seen her in weeks.  So this morning I burst into song; "You are my heart's desire and where you are I long to be!"  It was not an audition!

Connection 4.  

The best.   There was Steve and Barbara. 

In our conversation we discovered that my acquaintance Alvin Stout of my neighbouring Glen Oaks Manor is a friend of Steve.

Better still, I discovered that Barbara is also a Glen Oaks Manor owner.  In truth she lives next door to my beloved acquaintance Rose Marie and her dog Heidi.


My daily walks sans Zion are so good for my body and soul.

Isolation is deadly for singles of my age group!

Not the best of days HELP! A mistake and a fall.

  I arrived in time for my 8:50 appointment with my Dermatologist.   The Receptionist told me that I did not have an appointment.  She checked the records and told me that my appointment is for Tuesday. I knew that.  Then the light dawned.  Up until that moment I had thought that it was Tuesday, not Monday. You'd think that calendars had not been invented! It got worse. I took Cooper for an early pee walk this afternoon.  He lifted his leg to cue. Then he took a strong and mad dash towards a Squirrel.  I fell down.  And great was my fall. Lots of scrapes.  No bones broken. Pictures not in order. Excuse duplicates. No sympathy please - I was foolish. Fortunately, I had an arm bandage to sop up the blood. It looks worse than it is. BUT  1.  I was foolish in two ways. First, I had taken Cooper on a short leash.  I'd have had more control with the double handled long leash. 2. When he made his mad dash, I should have dropped ...
