The Flowers That Bloom In the Spring tra-la-la (Gilbert and Sullivan)
Pagoda Plant (Clerodendrum Paniculatum).
Cut down the ground in Autumn, up they come in Spring. Drought resistant. Spread like crazy underground.
Long and spindly branches. Drought resistant. Tiny blossoms - great butterfly attractors. Also attract a small bird (the ilk of which I know not) who peck away at the branches, eating something of which I know nothing. The birds are so skittish that a photo' is impossible.
