Back to Wednesday 8th. OLD FOLKS MUSIC #2 The Old Folks were the attendees











 In the morning I was with the Sarasota Orchestra for their open rehearsal of Ravel's Bolero.

After a brief visit to my home to attends to Cooper's needs I was off to Sarasota's Temple Emman-u-el for their monthly Lunch with the Rabbis:- Fellowship, Food and a Programme.

Peter Yarrows's death had been announced and we spent some time reflecting on his legacy  (the great and the sordid).

Then we had a sing-a-long with Peter Paul and Mary on the big screen.

What fun!  One hundred or so over seventies going back to their twenties.

A woman near me was grooving with glee.  As we were leaving the building I offered her a compliment " You are an unreconstructed Hippie". She accepted it as a compliment.   Her friends agreed with me"

Not the best of days HELP! A mistake and a fall.

  I arrived in time for my 8:50 appointment with my Dermatologist.   The Receptionist told me that I did not have an appointment.  She checked the records and told me that my appointment is for Tuesday. I knew that.  Then the light dawned.  Up until that moment I had thought that it was Tuesday, not Monday. You'd think that calendars had not been invented! It got worse. I took Cooper for an early pee walk this afternoon.  He lifted his leg to cue. Then he took a strong and mad dash towards a Squirrel.  I fell down.  And great was my fall. Lots of scrapes.  No bones broken. Pictures not in order. Excuse duplicates. No sympathy please - I was foolish. Fortunately, I had an arm bandage to sop up the blood. It looks worse than it is. BUT  1.  I was foolish in two ways. First, I had taken Cooper on a short leash.  I'd have had more control with the double handled long leash. 2. When he made his mad dash, I should have dropped ...
