Back In Time - Stirring my Memory DELIGHTFUL DISCOVERY

 




This notebook has been taking its rest on a shelf in my bedroom for lo these many years.

It dates to 2008 when it was given to me at a Credo Conference in Boynton Beach FL

Credo is a child of the Church Pension Fund. It provides professional development conferences for active and retired Clerics.  Mine was for retirees. We covered topics such as physical health, mental health, finances, spiritual life &c

I don't remember the details but I know that I found it to be worthwhile.

I also remember that 2008 was the year of the great financial crisis.

In an idle moment I browsed the note book to find that I had taken it to three of my great international trips; and taken notes.

Back came wonderful memories of Ecuador, Australia and Vietnam; and terrific people. 

Unfortunately none of the trips were dated.

I fulfilled a plan to visit five major continents - 

Europe, North America, South America, Australia and Asia

I'd been to the Lebanon which is geographically in Asia but doesn't feel so.

Oh lucky man.  What a very great privilege to have been able to make these trips.

My more recent trips are to Publix Supermarket, Walgreen's Pharmacy and Trader Joe's!

Not forgetting the Dog Park.

And my 2024 80th Birthday Fiesta in Bristol, U.K.

Not the best of days HELP! A mistake and a fall.

  I arrived in time for my 8:50 appointment with my Dermatologist.   The Receptionist told me that I did not have an appointment.  She checked the records and told me that my appointment is for Tuesday. I knew that.  Then the light dawned.  Up until that moment I had thought that it was Tuesday, not Monday. You'd think that calendars had not been invented! It got worse. I took Cooper for an early pee walk this afternoon.  He lifted his leg to cue. Then he took a strong and mad dash towards a Squirrel.  I fell down.  And great was my fall. Lots of scrapes.  No bones broken. Pictures not in order. Excuse duplicates. No sympathy please - I was foolish. Fortunately, I had an arm bandage to sop up the blood. It looks worse than it is. BUT  1.  I was foolish in two ways. First, I had taken Cooper on a short leash.  I'd have had more control with the double handled long leash. 2. When he made his mad dash, I should have dropped ...
