What a pleasure to be at this event (jmp)

These musicians spoke about their experience of playing for the first time under Sarasota Orchestra's new Music Director Designate, We gained important insights and information as just what it means to be an Orchestra and not a cohort of prima donnas, I had a brief conversation with Betsy Hudson Traba.  I told her that my eyes and ears are attuned to her and her wonderful focus and energy.

He is getting rave reviews from the musicians

It's been a tough row to hoe for S.O.

There was the covid hiatus.  Then in 2022 newly appointed director of music Bramwell Tovey died soon after his inaugural concert.

There is the venue problem.   S.O. usually performs at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Center, Along came the Hurricanes and the bayfront V.W. was flooded.

The Orchestra was shoehorned into the Sarasota Opera House for Guerro's first Concert, Opera stages are not designed for Orchestral performances!

S.O's next concert will be at Sarasota's Church of the Palms.

With fair seas and a following wind the Sarasota Orchestra will have its very own Concert Hall is (say) two or three years.    I hope that I will live that long.
