RESIST "Big Ag" and "Big Flora" want to have their ways with us. RESIST!!

 It's possible to have a gracious and generous Thanksgiving meal without the over bred, over fed, and insipid fowl known as a Turkey.


Big Ag wants us to believe that we have failed to have a GENUINE ALL-AMERICAN THANKSGIVING without it.  Yet I've heard so many say "I don't care for Turkey but I suppose we must have it"

And there is big Flora

"Christmas is not Christmas" they say "without Poinsettias" 


And Big Ag wants us to believe that Christmas begins the day after Thanksgiving.

Fie on that idea, and fie on boring Poinsettias.

I'd opt for a bowl of fragrant Red Roses.

Not the best of days HELP! A mistake and a fall.

  I arrived in time for my 8:50 appointment with my Dermatologist.   The Receptionist told me that I did not have an appointment.  She checked the records and told me that my appointment is for Tuesday. I knew that.  Then the light dawned.  Up until that moment I had thought that it was Tuesday, not Monday. You'd think that calendars had not been invented! It got worse. I took Cooper for an early pee walk this afternoon.  He lifted his leg to cue. Then he took a strong and mad dash towards a Squirrel.  I fell down.  And great was my fall. Lots of scrapes.  No bones broken. Pictures not in order. Excuse duplicates. No sympathy please - I was foolish. Fortunately, I had an arm bandage to sop up the blood. It looks worse than it is. BUT  1.  I was foolish in two ways. First, I had taken Cooper on a short leash.  I'd have had more control with the double handled long leash. 2. When he made his mad dash, I should have dropped ...
