An Old Dog and New Tricks

Cooper on the left.  Gustie on the right.

Gustie is fifteen years old and very weary, He belongs to my friend Fred and his wife Diana.  They are in post hurricane digs in Bradenton; their Longboat Key home having been damaged by the Hurricanes. 

I visited them this afternoon.

What fun. To our delight the ancient Gustie and the youthful Cooper had a ball.  

They wrestled and played indoors for more than half an hour. 

Fred and Diana could hardly believe their eyes.  They'd never in fifteen years seen Gustie have such fun.

I was proud of my dearest C as he minded his manners.  He knew that Gusty was in charge.
