Xander dear Xander. When the best is yet to come. XANDER IS COOL!

I walked at Arlington Park early this morning 'cause I knew that Bayfront Park would be overwhelmed with the Boat Show.

After a few minutes I encountered Carol, a friend of Zion.

Then there were two women with two dogs - I knew them well.

"Where is Zion?" was their question.  I told the old, old story.  My eyes misted.

A bit later I encountered a man who was walking and carrying his sweet young son.

The little boy (maybe 18-24 months old) was a charmer. He loved it as his dad pointed out the birds, the bees, the leaves and the flowers.

We chatted for a bit.  Papa said to his wee son Xander - wave to Mr. Michael.  Xander did not do so!

Xander and Dad were walking anti-clockwise. I was walking clock wise.

So it was that we met up again.  From about twenty feet Xander saw me and waved to me!  Goosebumps!

We met again and I told Xander that I would tell everyone about him.

No photo's of course.   But I rejoice in meeting a young dad who was taking his beloved Xander for an early morning walk in the park.

What a blessing for the Dad.  What a blessing for young Xander.

What a sheer blessing and utter joy for me.  Hurrah for Xander and his Dad!
