It's all about the tie.

When Bob D of Pittsfield MA died - many years ago - his wife Ruth D gave me his collection of ties.

The only one I wear is this Christmas tie.  I intended to ask my hosts at Christmas Day to take a photo' but forgot.

So, on my way home I asked the clerk in a convenience store to do so.

Why?  Every year I send a photo' of me wearing the tie to Sally M, B and R's daughter.

It's an annual mark of my memory of her parents.

This Photo' Arrived Out Of the Blue: A 12/13 years old jmp and others.

  It came from one Graham Hunt, a friend from many years ago. Pictured are members of the Bristol based Venturers Boys Club on a field trip to the Port of Avonmouth. I remember some of the lads. Centre frame is Jeff Davies - a longtime friend (since 1950).  We saw each other this year. I am crouched down.  I still had hair.  I was a skinny kid - puberty hit me a bit late. I was a reluctant member.  I had no interest in woodwork.  I was 100% inept at Table Tennis.   Being precociously religious I was at home in the semi formal services which were a feature of the Club.
