All In One Day. (Some Povey Silliness)
6:00 a.m. Walking Zion in the dark at the Nathan Benderson Park. I have one of those nifty personal headlights.
Why so early? I had an ultrasound slated for 7:30 a.m. Walking the dog, going home for black coffee, and a shower before the appointment
Ultrasound on time! So far, so good.
Then the silliness began.
Background 1.
I am slated for the dreaded Dermatological "Red Light" procedure on Thursday 7th at 10:30 a.m. My surgeon asked that I should have a close shave and get rid of my sideburns.
Background 2.
I have used the same Barber (Patrick) since I moved here. He has taken on a grandson as an apprentice. Everyone wants Patrick to be the barber of choice. I decided to give the grandson a whirl.
He is a bit goofy and he went overboard. Do you recognise me?"
It didn't end there
The three of you who read and enjoy my blog will remember that I recently had my wonderful chiming clock renovated.
Woe is me. Within weeks it stopped chiming and was erratic in time keeping.
I took it back to the Clock Gallery today. The problem was resolved in minutes. HOLD YOUR BREATH!
DUH! I had neglected to wind it up. Gosh darn it, who knew that a mechanical clock needed monthly winding? Not I sir!
The staff were duly amused. Very amused!
Now I hear the lovely St. Michael Chimes (from St. Michael's Church, Charleston, S.C) where my great mentor, the Revd. DeWolf Perry was once the Rector.
Those chimes settle my soul every fifteen minutes. They calm me even in the middle of the night.
