I Miss My Chiming Clock

 



It's been part of my life for forty years.

Sarasota's Clock Gallery called today to say that it is beyond repair.

So I have authorised the purchase and installation of a new mechanism, at a cost of just over $500.

It's a good month for such an expenditure.   I receive the U.K. equivalent of Social Security ( I worked for it) four times a year. 

November will see a quarter's money deposited in my savings account.

I never include the U.K.  Social Security in my annual budget.  So it will come at the right time for this unexpected expenditure.



I should be so lucky!

Not the best of days HELP! A mistake and a fall.

  I arrived in time for my 8:50 appointment with my Dermatologist.   The Receptionist told me that I did not have an appointment.  She checked the records and told me that my appointment is for Tuesday. I knew that.  Then the light dawned.  Up until that moment I had thought that it was Tuesday, not Monday. You'd think that calendars had not been invented! It got worse. I took Cooper for an early pee walk this afternoon.  He lifted his leg to cue. Then he took a strong and mad dash towards a Squirrel.  I fell down.  And great was my fall. Lots of scrapes.  No bones broken. Pictures not in order. Excuse duplicates. No sympathy please - I was foolish. Fortunately, I had an arm bandage to sop up the blood. It looks worse than it is.
