You've Heard Me Talk About Pittsfield, MA - the City Where I served at St. Stephen's Parish from 1984-2000

 Here is Park Square where East, West, North and South Streets meet.

The square has been made lovely by the determined and hard work of a volunteer group called Pittsfield Beautiful. (2023 photo').

The Church on the left is First Church, Congregational  (now closed)


Then comes the old City Hall which in my time was the Chief Office of the Berkshire County Savings Bank  (now Berkshire Bank).

St. Stephen's fortress like Tower  (built with Longmeadow Sandstone) is slightly to the right of centre.

Not the best of days HELP! A mistake and a fall.

  I arrived in time for my 8:50 appointment with my Dermatologist.   The Receptionist told me that I did not have an appointment.  She checked the records and told me that my appointment is for Tuesday. I knew that.  Then the light dawned.  Up until that moment I had thought that it was Tuesday, not Monday. You'd think that calendars had not been invented! It got worse. I took Cooper for an early pee walk this afternoon.  He lifted his leg to cue. Then he took a strong and mad dash towards a Squirrel.  I fell down.  And great was my fall. Lots of scrapes.  No bones broken. Pictures not in order. Excuse duplicates. No sympathy please - I was foolish. Fortunately, I had an arm bandage to sop up the blood. It looks worse than it is. BUT  1.  I was foolish in two ways. First, I had taken Cooper on a short leash.  I'd have had more control with the double handled long leash. 2. When he made his mad dash, I should have dropped ...
