......   GENOCIDE


The ignoble clause in the Declaration of Independence.


He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.



Whose frontiers?

Undistinguished destruction before and after independence, not by the "Indian Savages"  but on them.

Shall we say as once was said:

"Kill the Indian and Save the Man". Leading to  actual and cultural genocide.




Sing your triumphalistic songs. Wave myriad flags. Honour the day with hot dog eating contests.

Forget who paid the highest price for Independence.  The indigenous peoples and the enslaved.


I am glad to rain on your parade.

Not the best of days HELP! A mistake and a fall.

  I arrived in time for my 8:50 appointment with my Dermatologist.   The Receptionist told me that I did not have an appointment.  She checked the records and told me that my appointment is for Tuesday. I knew that.  Then the light dawned.  Up until that moment I had thought that it was Tuesday, not Monday. You'd think that calendars had not been invented! It got worse. I took Cooper for an early pee walk this afternoon.  He lifted his leg to cue. Then he took a strong and mad dash towards a Squirrel.  I fell down.  And great was my fall. Lots of scrapes.  No bones broken. Pictures not in order. Excuse duplicates. No sympathy please - I was foolish. Fortunately, I had an arm bandage to sop up the blood. It looks worse than it is.
