Coconut Ice   -  a Blast From the Past





This is one of the treats from my youth.  It's a very sweet treat.

There is nothing icy about it.  

(Maybe it looks like a vanilla and strawberry ice cream bar). The Strawberry colour is from food colouring.

Believe it or not I came across some at Geiers, a German food store in Sarasota.  Taste bud memories came rushing back!  I could not resist it.

The one pictured was fabricated in Kendal, U.K. -  on the borders of the famed Lake District.

I'll delve into it soon.

The ingredients are tres simple.  So simple that I made my own a few years ago.

Not the best of days HELP! A mistake and a fall.

  I arrived in time for my 8:50 appointment with my Dermatologist.   The Receptionist told me that I did not have an appointment.  She checked the records and told me that my appointment is for Tuesday. I knew that.  Then the light dawned.  Up until that moment I had thought that it was Tuesday, not Monday. You'd think that calendars had not been invented! It got worse. I took Cooper for an early pee walk this afternoon.  He lifted his leg to cue. Then he took a strong and mad dash towards a Squirrel.  I fell down.  And great was my fall. Lots of scrapes.  No bones broken. Pictures not in order. Excuse duplicates. No sympathy please - I was foolish. Fortunately, I had an arm bandage to sop up the blood. It looks worse than it is. BUT  1.  I was foolish in two ways. First, I had taken Cooper on a short leash.  I'd have had more control with the double handled long leash. 2. When he made his mad dash, I should have dropped ...
