A Mezuzah on the Lintel of My Front Door

 


But why?  


As a a Christian in the Anglican/Episcopalian tradition I am taught that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments contain all things necessary for salvation.

The so-called Old Testament includes Psalm 119, a paean of praise for G-d's law.

My Mezuzah evokes a deep respect for Judaism; and biblical teaching for Christians.

Oh how I love Thy law!

This Photo' Arrived Out Of the Blue: A 12/13 years old jmp and others.

  It came from one Graham Hunt, a friend from many years ago. Pictured are members of the Bristol based Venturers Boys Club on a field trip to the Port of Avonmouth. I remember some of the lads. Centre frame is Jeff Davies - a longtime friend (since 1950).  We saw each other this year. I am crouched down.  I still had hair.  I was a skinny kid - puberty hit me a bit late. I was a reluctant member.  I had no interest in woodwork.  I was 100% inept at Table Tennis.   Being precociously religious I was at home in the semi formal services which were a feature of the Club.
