Grr! and Grr!

Yet again I am fighting my Heart Doctor's Office  (or a Computer?) over a scrip which they will not automatically renew via my Pharmacy.

Their word is that all my scrips were deleted in Oct 2022.  That's baloney since I saw the real, live, breathing Doctor last month.

I called the office this morning three times during ninety minutes, but each time got the overnight recorded message  (long after opening time).  I finally got through to an answering machine and pleaded for the essential scrip to be renewed; I have only six pills left).

The answering machine was stern:  "Do not call us again.  We will not call you.  Your pharmacy will call you within 48 hours  if this prescription has been renewed"  Oh Yeah?

I was scheduled for a City of Sarasota inspection of my new windows today; sometime between 8:00 a.m.  and 5:00 p.m.  I was glued to the house; to no avail.

I phoned the business manager of my window contractor  (she is his wife "M")  to ask  "what goes?"

M checked her computer records,  (and God bless her) her written notes on my office folder.

Yes, we had agreed on a date for the inspection.  Yes, she had telephoned the City Dept. to set the date.

But?    Evidently the City employee had not followed through and had not scheduled the date.

C'est la vie.  M,  (who apologised too much for what was not her mistake!) will 'phone the City Dept. and set another inspection date.

Given the choice I'd much rather talk with M. than "obey" an answering machine at my Heart Doctor's Office.
