Easter Day 2023

 Roasted Leg of Lamb, with roasted Carrots, Mushrooms and Parsnips.

The Lamb was a bit more well done than I prefer ( I used the Air Fryer and got the timing a bit wrong ) nevertheless the meat was still moist.

It's hard to make gravy when cooking in an Air Fryer.  I could have made some in a saucepan with "Bisto" gravy granules but it might have overwhelmed all the other flavours.

Of course I used Mint Sauce ( I hate Mint Jelly with a passion!)

Colman's is well known for Mustard in the U.K.  Their Mint Sauce is fine, though it is the Mint which is grown in Norfolk not the Sauce itself!

I bought a bottle of Claret (the 19th Century U.K. Generic for any and all Bordeaux Red Wines).  I was eating at 2:00 p.m. so I didn't open the wine since I would be driving Zion to his park walks later in the day.

This Photo' Arrived Out Of the Blue: A 12/13 years old jmp and others.

  It came from one Graham Hunt, a friend from many years ago. Pictured are members of the Bristol based Venturers Boys Club on a field trip to the Port of Avonmouth. I remember some of the lads. Centre frame is Jeff Davies - a longtime friend (since 1950).  We saw each other this year. I am crouched down.  I still had hair.  I was a skinny kid - puberty hit me a bit late. I was a reluctant member.  I had no interest in woodwork.  I was 100% inept at Table Tennis.   Being precociously religious I was at home in the semi formal services which were a feature of the Club.
