The Fun Continues




Learning how to use my new Air Fryer.

1 I defrosted some Chicken Cutlets to use in Chicken Salad.  From frozen to cooked in about 25 minutes.

2. The BIG TEST, making "Pigs in a Blanket" - Sausage wrapped in Bacon.


Here it is with the Irish Company Bachelor's baked beans,

The flavour was good.

The Sausage is the English Style Lincolnshire Chipolatas, made in Chicago  with A1 ingredients by https://jollyposhfoods.com  Highly recommended.

The Bacon was a bit problematic.  It's American Bacon for sure (we Brits would call it "Streaky Bacon" )

I bought it "on sale" - a bargain I thought, in these days of food cost inflation. 

I discovered that it was on sale because it was more fat than flesh!

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I enjoyed the meal, but I'll eschew Bargain Basement Bacon when next I cook Pigs in a Blanket.

Not the best of days HELP! A mistake and a fall.

  I arrived in time for my 8:50 appointment with my Dermatologist.   The Receptionist told me that I did not have an appointment.  She checked the records and told me that my appointment is for Tuesday. I knew that.  Then the light dawned.  Up until that moment I had thought that it was Tuesday, not Monday. You'd think that calendars had not been invented! It got worse. I took Cooper for an early pee walk this afternoon.  He lifted his leg to cue. Then he took a strong and mad dash towards a Squirrel.  I fell down.  And great was my fall. Lots of scrapes.  No bones broken. Pictures not in order. Excuse duplicates. No sympathy please - I was foolish. Fortunately, I had an arm bandage to sop up the blood. It looks worse than it is. BUT  1.  I was foolish in two ways. First, I had taken Cooper on a short leash.  I'd have had more control with the double handled long leash. 2. When he made his mad dash, I should have dropped ...
