Thanksgiving 2022

 



Via Interstates I 75 and I 275 with a little bit of urban driving at both ends, 45 - 50 minutes.

Interstates not too busy, with no hold ups.

With my eye sight deteriorating (cataracts) I kept my driving to 60 mph. I can se the road clearly enough, but the road signs are fuzzy.

With that in mind I will do no night driving until after the surgery.

I'll see the surgeon (Cathleen McCabe, MD) for a consultation on 15th Dec 2022.  No date yet for the surgeries.


The fellowship of the Table with my friends Ron and Char T, and their daughter E was wonderful.

Good food, but with no pressure to have seconds.

With due respect to my gracious hosts (and with no respect to the food industry) I must say that Turkey meat is vastly over rated. 

I ate it with gratitude of course.  But it won't be on my plate until another year has passed.


Zion was the star of the show.  He and E. flirted outrageously.

Not the best of days HELP! A mistake and a fall.

  I arrived in time for my 8:50 appointment with my Dermatologist.   The Receptionist told me that I did not have an appointment.  She checked the records and told me that my appointment is for Tuesday. I knew that.  Then the light dawned.  Up until that moment I had thought that it was Tuesday, not Monday. You'd think that calendars had not been invented! It got worse. I took Cooper for an early pee walk this afternoon.  He lifted his leg to cue. Then he took a strong and mad dash towards a Squirrel.  I fell down.  And great was my fall. Lots of scrapes.  No bones broken. Pictures not in order. Excuse duplicates. No sympathy please - I was foolish. Fortunately, I had an arm bandage to sop up the blood. It looks worse than it is.
