Beans, Bridies, Cod and Corn

This ex-pat British man is very fond of the Heinz Company's Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce.



The Irish Company called Bachelor also makes a very good product. I prefer these as a matter of reverse snobbery in the light of  British anti Irish prejudice.


Many millions of Irish and British children have enjoyed Beans on Toast as a simple, tasty and nutritious snack. 

Far too many eat  Bachelors or Heinz Beans as the major and only item on a daily main meal.

I like to add some canned or frozen corn for a bit of crunch!

Bridies

A traditionally Scottish Meat Pie.




Wonderful flakey pastry, wrapped around seasoned ground beef etc. Delicious

I can't remember if I bought this, or a friend gave it to me.


Fail, fail, fail!

The more you chew it the tougher it becomes, just like Alligator meat which. I have tried.

I donated it to my local Avian friends.

Not the best of days HELP! A mistake and a fall.

  I arrived in time for my 8:50 appointment with my Dermatologist.   The Receptionist told me that I did not have an appointment.  She checked the records and told me that my appointment is for Tuesday. I knew that.  Then the light dawned.  Up until that moment I had thought that it was Tuesday, not Monday. You'd think that calendars had not been invented! It got worse. I took Cooper for an early pee walk this afternoon.  He lifted his leg to cue. Then he took a strong and mad dash towards a Squirrel.  I fell down.  And great was my fall. Lots of scrapes.  No bones broken. Pictures not in order. Excuse duplicates. No sympathy please - I was foolish. Fortunately, I had an arm bandage to sop up the blood. It looks worse than it is. BUT  1.  I was foolish in two ways. First, I had taken Cooper on a short leash.  I'd have had more control with the double handled long leash. 2. When he made his mad dash, I should have dropped ...
