My Failed Date




Yesterday saw me at my Dermatologist's Office for a routine check up.

I was not on her schedule for the day.

Turns out that my appointment was for 11/10 


I am bi-dateable.  I'd put the appt. in my calendar the British way Day/Month.   The Doctor's office was using the American style Month/Day.

After all these years the old customs die hard.   That why when I write a cheque I enter the date as e.g. 11th October 2022.

If I die in America it will probably be almost a month before I die.

By the way,  "what is a check?"

Not the best of days HELP! A mistake and a fall.

  I arrived in time for my 8:50 appointment with my Dermatologist.   The Receptionist told me that I did not have an appointment.  She checked the records and told me that my appointment is for Tuesday. I knew that.  Then the light dawned.  Up until that moment I had thought that it was Tuesday, not Monday. You'd think that calendars had not been invented! It got worse. I took Cooper for an early pee walk this afternoon.  He lifted his leg to cue. Then he took a strong and mad dash towards a Squirrel.  I fell down.  And great was my fall. Lots of scrapes.  No bones broken. Pictures not in order. Excuse duplicates. No sympathy please - I was foolish. Fortunately, I had an arm bandage to sop up the blood. It looks worse than it is.
