POLE BEANS

 


They are my favourite in the bean family. Their skins are tougher than green beans or kidney beans, so they have to be well cooked (but I still like mine al dente).

They are hard to find in supermarkets so I was glad to see them at Yoder's Market on Bahia Vista St.

They weren't wrapped in saran wrap such as  broccoli in my local supermarket.  Nor were they on a styrofoam tray -  (same local market) for two zucchini squashes.

My beans were loose and on a wooden tray.  Ready to be picked over. Easy to buy just enough.

Flavourful with a deeper taste than other beans of the same family.
