 My Condo. at Glen Oaks Ridge, Sarasota FL  is about 50/60 years old. It was built by the first class Paver Family.

Mine is the end unit of a single story triplex.  I have a nice view of a large retention pond -  lots of avian life to enjoy.

Given its age the kitchen is small.  Some owners have taken down two non-loadbearing walls to create more spacious space.  I could not afford such a venture; nor did I want my life disrupted for a year or more.

But the kitchen needed sprucing up.

Last Oct/Nov my splendid handyman repainted the tired old cabinets in a lovely grey which he and I had chosen.

In late Feb and March he replaced the battered old Formica counter tops with new; in an ocean sparkling Cobalt Blue which I had chosen.

Today the Maytag Dishwasher which I had ordered in early March was installed.

I am so very well pleased with a kitchen which has been spruced up, not modernized. A great space to store food, to  cook,  and to do dishes.  That's all I need.

Not the best of days HELP! A mistake and a fall.

  I arrived in time for my 8:50 appointment with my Dermatologist.   The Receptionist told me that I did not have an appointment.  She checked the records and told me that my appointment is for Tuesday. I knew that.  Then the light dawned.  Up until that moment I had thought that it was Tuesday, not Monday. You'd think that calendars had not been invented! It got worse. I took Cooper for an early pee walk this afternoon.  He lifted his leg to cue. Then he took a strong and mad dash towards a Squirrel.  I fell down.  And great was my fall. Lots of scrapes.  No bones broken. Pictures not in order. Excuse duplicates. No sympathy please - I was foolish. Fortunately, I had an arm bandage to sop up the blood. It looks worse than it is.
