Interstate Highway Driving: An anxious Prelude to Yet Another Great Day.
Some of you know that I am a member of a weekly Zoom Conversation called "Black Lives Matter".
Of course All Lives Matter, but some matter much less than others in the cultures that are led and ruled by White people/men.
Hence we emphasise Black Lives; lives which are often at the bottom of the economic ladder; and at the top of a weighted and unjust criminal justice autocracy.
The group I am in was brought together by the ever terrific Dr. Grace Jones, so we often refer to ourselves as "Foggies" - Friends of Grace.
Grace hand picked us, so we did not all know each other. I was lucky enough to know Jonathan and Linda Daube (formerly of Pittsfield MA).
The other week I met Laura Z of Oneonta N.Y. for the first time. She was on vacation and en-route from Jacksonville FL to Sanibel, with family members. Zion was there too.
Today found me at Fort Desoto County Park, Pinellas County FL for a picnic lunch with two other foggies; Anne Federlein and Joe Roop her partner, both from Napierville IL
Wider still and wider shall Foggies bounds be set!
Joe, Anne and Mr. Z of course.
By glorious happenstance Joe's grand daughter Sara lives and works in Sarasota. When not at work Sara sings and plays the fiddle for the Blue Grass Band "Stumble Creek", of which I have become a fan.
Sara took time off work and joined us at the Park today.
Now that four of the seven Foggies have met Zion there is now and elite sub group within Friends of Grace; Foggies plus/plus are those who have met Zion.

Interstate Highways - BAH - like a novice driver.
I drove on Interstates 75 and 275, the first time I had been on an Interstate Highways for these many years. I am well out of practice and drove with ultra caution, much to the annoyance of drivers behind me.
